Teaching Philosophy

Dance

In my classes, it is most important to me that everyone has a good time and enjoys the class. Dance is my absolute passion and I want to pass on that joy for movement in my classes. I focus on creating a safe space for everyone to explore different ways of moving while also incorporating some dance technique.

Yoga

In my classes, it is most important to me that everyone listens to their own body and learns to do what is best for them. I focus on using the breath as a tool alongside movements and postures and I make sure to include a relaxation in the end of each class to give everybody the chance to let go and rest.

Yoga

Vinyasa Yoga – Level 1
In the Vinyasa Yoga – Level 1 class we start to learn some basic poses (asanas) and begin to practise synchronising the movement with the breath.

Vinyasa Yoga – Level 1-2
In the Vinyasa Yoga – Level 1-2 class we build up the asana practice from the level 1 class by practising more complex flows and incorporating the breath more.

Ashtanga Yoga – Primary Series
The Ashtanga yoga class begins with the sun salutations. The class then continues with a fixed series of poses – the primary series. It includes standing poses, seated poses, backbends and finishing poses.
